NUCLEAR TRAINING CENTER

Nuclear Training Center:

– Assists VINATOM in managing and coordinating PhD programs with specialization authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training and joint programs with partner universities in providing Master’s degrees in Nuclear Science and Technology. In collaboration with universities, we organize training courses for gifted engineers and bachelors to prepare R&D personnel for nuclear power and nuclear technology;

– Organizes and conducts additional training courses for bachelors and engineers of various specializations in service of the nuclear power development program, grants radiation workers certificates in various specialties and certificates in operation of atomic energy application services under the Atomic Energy Law;

– Organizes training courses on radiation safety, nuclear safety and other related specialties for managers working in the fields relevant to atomic energy in localities and socioeconomic in the country;

– Organizes and conducts training courses for scientific and technological personnel and technicians using nuclear technology and equipment in nuclear medicine facilities and radiotherapy, in the field of environment, nuclear biology and industry;

– Organizes short-term basic training courses, specialized classes to enhance the qualifications for the staff in the Institute, organizes joint-venture and joint training activities;

– Participates in the preparation of human resources for overseas training activities, foreign language proficiency testing, and implements professional training for the personnel who are sent abroad for training;

– Cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology for Asia and the Pacific (RCA), Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) and other foreign partners to build up the system of training programs for each title of Vietnam’s nuclear technology specialist, compiles or translates textbooks related to the authorized curriculum, establishes international relations in human resource development, coordinates overseas training activities in nuclear science and technology and nuclear power technology;

– Implements international cooperation activities according to the functions and tasks of the Center;

– Manages finance, property, and staff of the Center in accordance with the law and decentralized management of VINATOM.
